Job summary

The Fedcap Group is seeking an Outreach Specialist in Washington, DC to drive engagement for TANF participants and serve as the first line of contact for referrals from the District of Columbia DHS. You will initiate, maintain, and restore contact with customers who have not yet engaged or who have disengaged from required services.

You will manage a caseload of unengaged TANF recipients, document activities in Fedcap Cares, support Case Managers, and promote the value of work and program

Qualifications

• Two years of post-secondary education completed.
• Two years of outreach experience or related work.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for a caseload of unengaged or disengaged TANF recipients; initiate outreach within 24 hours of missed appointments.
• Conduct re-engagement efforts and document activity with accuracy in Fedcap Cares system.
• Support Case Managers by coordinating outreach and providing real-time status updates.
• Promote work participation and personal accountability through ongoing customer communication.
• Lead orientations and facilitate group sessions to support workforce readiness.
