Job summary

The Fedcap Group is seeking a Case Manager for the Washington, DC TANF Workforce Development program. You will be the main point of contact for TANF customers referred by DC DHS, coordinate services, monitor engagement, and support customers through their first year of employment.

You will develop trusted relationships with participants, manage a caseload of about 50, conduct weekly interactions, and collaborate with providers to help participants achieve meaningful progress toward employment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, social services, counseling, business administration, or related field.
  • Three years' experience in vocational rehabilitation, case management, or related field.
  • A minimum of five years’ case management experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Carry a caseload of approximately 50 unemployed and unenrolled program participants.
  • Conduct at minimum 25 participant interactions a week including bi-weekly coaching sessions and/or weekly non-compliance/re-engagement attempt meetings.
  • Coordinate and develop relationships with all external Providers (including Secondary Service Providers, District Agency Providers, School, Employers, and Community Providers) as well as Teammates.
  • Review DHS-administered assessments, develop and amend participants’ Detailed Individual Responsibility Plans (DIRPs).
  • Provide counseling, intervention, and program action planning and delivery.
  • Document activities, participation, compliance, and employment progress in ECM systems.
