Job summary

The Sheldon is seeking a Programming Assistant to support education and engagement programs, including the All-Star Chorus, volunteer ushers, and gallery/community initiatives. The role requires strong organizational skills, reliable communication, and the ability to manage multiple program logistics each week.

Responsibilities include supervising chorus activities, coordinating meals and transportation, and maintaining volunteer systems.

Qualifications

• Basic computer literacy required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
• Team-oriented yet capable of independent work.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and navigate stairs.
• Willingness to attend Monday All-Star Chorus rehearsals.

Responsibilities

• Manage The Sheldon’s All-Star Chorus logistics, including dinner, rehearsal supervision, and support to the Artistic Director.
• Coordinate volunteer ushers and maintain a pool of 80 active volunteers.
• Assist with education, gallery and community programs, and other programming tasks.
