Job summary

Coordinated Care Agency (CCA), a dba of the Archdiocesan Housing Authority, seeks compassionate Engagement Specialist I for shelter programs in King County including Seattle. You will provide direct services to clients, assist with intake and advocacy, and help maintain a safe, supportive environment.

The role requires teamwork, trauma-informed practice, and coordination with case managers, medical staff, and volunteers.

Qualifications

• One-year experience in social service or customer service.
• Knowledge and experience with crisis intervention.
• Commitment to harm reduction and housing first model.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Trauma-informed approach to client interactions.
• Cultural competence and ability to work in multi-cultural settings.
• Criminal history background checks required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler's permit within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention and advocacy to participants.
• Coordinate with other social service workers to meet clients' immediate needs.
• Model interpersonal and living skills for clients.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable program environment.
• Supervise volunteers on shift and coordinate with off-site volunteers.
• Attend required in-person meetings and work on-site.
• Manage front desk, reception, and client check-in processes.
