Job summary

Atria Signature Collection in New York is seeking a team member to lead Engage Life programs and provide engaging recreational activities for residents. You will plan diverse programs, assist in special events, and help maintain an inclusive community that enhances residents’ active aging experiences.

Qualified candidates will have a GED or equivalent, 3–6 months of related experience, and strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3–6 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Able to write simple correspondence and present information to individuals and groups.

Responsibilities

• Leads Engage Life programs for residents with meaningful activities.
• Provides a range of recreational activities with appropriate supervision.
• Develops residents’ programs, including for those confined to rooms.
• Engages and motivates residents to participate in activities.
• Keeps residents informed of upcoming events and maintains activity calendars.
• Greets new residents and helps integrate them into the community.
• Supports planning of parties and seasonal decorations, including monthly birthday celebrations.
• Supports Bright Beginnings including housewarmings.
• Assists with census-building initiatives.
• Maintains records of activity participation as required by state law.
• Coordinates with the Engage Life Director to enlist volunteers.
• May drive the community vehicle if required.
• Other duties as needed.
