Atria Senior Living, Inc. in Barrington, RI invites applications for an Engage Life Assistant who will lead resident programs and supervise recreational activities designed to enhance active aging and community life.

You will develop inclusive programming, greet new residents, coordinate events, and support volunteers while maintaining records and schedules in compliance with state guidelines. This role offers a friendly team environment and meaningful daily impact on residents’ lives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3–6 months related experience or training.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and present information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engage Life programs and recreational activities for residents.
• Develop programs including for residents confined to their rooms.
• Engage and motivate residents to participate in activities.
• Inform residents of upcoming activities and maintain a current schedule of events.
• Greet new residents and help integrate them with others with similar interests.
• Assist in planning parties and activities and decorate the community by season/holiday; plan monthly birthday parties.
• Assist in Bright Beginnings including housewarmings.
• Support census-building initiatives within the community.
• Maintain records of activities, participation levels, and compliance with state law.
• Assist Engage Life Director in enlisting volunteers for the activities program.
• May drive the company vehicle if required by the community.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
