Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) seeks an Enforcement Sergeant – Region 3 Training Coordinator in Baton Rouge to supervise personnel, coordinate training, and ensure certifications for DOTD Police.

The role combines field enforcement, supervision, training coordination, and administrative duties, with an emphasis on compliance with DOTD policies and state/federal laws. Four or five years of experience and POST certification are required.

Competenze

• Four years of law enforcement experience in the protection of transportation infrastructure or equivalent.
• POST certified peace officer with power of arrest is required (five years if not POST certified).
• Active driver's license and clean record per agency policies.

Mansioni

• Coordinate regional training and compliance for DOTD Police personnel.
• Supervise law enforcement operations including permits, registration, and traffic enforcement.
• Serve as subject-matter liaison for firearms, defensive tactics, and use-of-force training.
