The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) seeks an Enforcement Sergeant to supervise the Weight Enforcement Unit at the Breaux Bridge fixed-scale facility. You will oversee daily enforcement, personnel, investigations, and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualified candidates have senior law enforcement experience and POST certification; a valid driver’s license is required. This is a promotional or detail opportunity for DOTD employees.

Qualifications

• Four years of law enforcement experience in transportation protection or related fields.
• Five years as a POST certified peace officer with arrest powers.
• Active driver's license required.

Responsabilités

• Supervise weight enforcement operations and field activities.
• Train and brief subordinate staff; prepare schedules and directives.
• Conduct and oversee investigations; ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain records, equipment, and facility readiness; support emergencies.
