The DOTD Enforcement Sergeant serves as a commissioned law enforcement supervisor within the Weight Enforcement Unit at the Breaux Bridge fixed-scale facility. The position oversees daily enforcement operations and subordinate personnel while ensuring state and federal size, weight, permit, registration, and taxation regulations are enforced fairly and consistently. The incumbent provides field supervision, manages personnel and administrative responsibilities, conducts and oversees investigations, and ensures equipment, records, training, and facility operations remain in compliance with DOTD policies and applicable laws.
While in official capacity, DOTD employees must comply with applicable Louisiana and Civil Services laws, rules and regulations, as well as DOTD policies, procedures, manuals, and directives.
