Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. is seeking a transactional associate with 2-5 years of experience to join our Energy department. This role focuses on commercial/transactional work, including contracts, supplier agreements, energy storage contracts, project finance, and M&A transactions.

Candidates should have strong writing and analytical skills, a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, and an active U.S. license.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of legal experience in private practice or related in-house positions.
• Interest in the energy industry.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, including supplier agreements and energy procurement arrangements.
• Handle energy storage contracting, construction agreements, and M&A transactions.
• Assist with project finance and other strategic transactions in the energy sector.
