Job summary

Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. seeks a transactional associate with 2-5 years of experience to join our Energy department. The role covers commercial contracts, supplier agreements, power procurement, energy storage contracting, construction agreements, M&A, and project finance, with a keen interest in the energy sector.

Hybrid work arrangements are offered; Minneapolis office preferred, others considered, including remote on a case-by-case basis. Ideal candidates will have a J.D.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of legal experience in private practice or related in-house positions.
• Interest in the energy industry.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills.
• Strong academic background.
• Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• The ability to practice law or admissibility in New York is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle commercial/transactional work including contracts and supplier agreements.
• Work on power procurement arrangements, energy storage contracting, and construction agreements.
• Assist with M&A transactions, project finance, and other strategic transactions.
