Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a Market Development Manager to lead market strategy and development for the Battery Sector in Spring, TX. You will guide cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and build competitive advantages in energy storage and mobility applications.

The role requires a BS in a related field and 5+ years in energy storage, with strong leadership and business model design skills.

Qualifications

Capabilities and Experience: 5+ years in Energy Storage areas such as battery components / system, new energy storage technologies, and large stationary storage and mobility applications.
Broad market development capability with leadership experience in developing and / or executing in new business spaces.
Trained in product / application development technologies.
Business model design experience, including technology licensing models.
Creative, unconstrained clear thinker.
Motivating and inspiring, passionate about creating new opportunities.
A recognized business entrepreneur – able to see business value in new concepts outside of the base businesses comfort zone.

Responsibilities

Establish vision and direction for the assigned market segment, driving development and growth in line with Energy Storage Platform strategy.
Develop segment strategy with execution plans including pipeline targets, channel strategy, marketing communications, trade show participation, and key customer engagement plans.
Lead, develop, and strengthen value chain engagement and influence key decision makers on solutions per segment strategy.
Create and maintain detailed competitor profiles and analyses, updating Value in Use insights.
Guide cross functional teams in planning and completing new market development projects.
