Job summary

Dow Jones Energy is seeking a Sponsorship Sales and Business Development Representative to prospect and close new sponsorship sales and group registrations across the events portfolio. You will build relationships with trade associations, publications, and organizations worldwide, collaborating with marketing and editorial teams to qualify and develop opportunities.

You will report to the Executive Director - Conference & Event Operations and travel ~5–10% to events to strengthen sponsor

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in conference and event sponsorship sales.
• Ability to build and develop relationships with customers and partners.
• Knowledge of conference topics and industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop new sponsorship opportunities and customers using leads from marketing and senior team members.
• Respond to and close sales leads for assigned events.
• Develop prospects for external sales outreach with the conference team.
• Expand prospects for attendance and sponsorships by building association and publication relationships.
• Build relationships across the organization to identify opportunities quickly.
• Ensure paperwork (contracts, agreements) is written, executed and returned promptly.
• Travel 5-10% domestically or internationally to attend events and solidify relationships.
• Take on additional responsibilities to support team growth.
