Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is looking for an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to help in our Energy Solutions offices in Baltimore MD, Fairfax and Richmond VA, Boston MA, and California. The Energy Solutions division is the fastest growing part of CMTA, and successful candidates typically are self-motivated and have a strong HVAC background to lead all phases of our work.

Although the position is for the performance contracting division, engineers with solid HVAC design and commissioning experience

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in Energy Services or related field
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar discipline required
• Strong background in HVAC design and commissioning is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop and present project opportunities to clients
• Support meetings, events, and proposal development
• Conduct site visits, audits, energy calculations
• Review drawings and specifications
• Assist bidding to ensure quality and competitiveness
• Support contract administration and construction teams
• Commission installed systems to verify performance
• Assist clients during warranty period
• Collaborate with M&V team to develop reports
