Job summary

Alabama Power Company – Energy Solutions is seeking a results-oriented leader to drive statewide business development strategy for energy conservation and ESCO opportunities across Alabama. You will guide pipeline growth and coordinate with Sales, Project Development, and Construction to deliver value.

The role requires travel statewide (approximately 30–40%), strong leadership, and the ability to translate cross-functional inputs into market strategy and customer value propositions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in engineering, technical, business, finance, marketing, or related field.
• CEM certification is REQUIRED.
• PM certification is preferred.
• Professional Engineering License (AL) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set statewide business development strategy for energy conservation opportunities.
• Lead, coach, and direct customer discovery and opportunity advancement.
• Establish pipeline governance and performance reporting for leadership visibility.
• Coordinate with Account Management, Project Development, and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure proposals and contracts are fully developed and aligned for approvals.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree (engineering, technical, business, finance, marketing, or related field)

Certified Energy Manager (CEM)

Project Management Certification

Professional Engineering License (AL)
