Alabama Power Company – Energy Solutions is seeking a leader to drive the energy conservation and ESCO-market strategy across Alabama. The role includes setting priorities, growing the pipeline, and coordinating with Sales, Project Development, and Project Delivery to convert opportunities into contracted work.

Travel statewide 30-40% to engage customers, prospects, and stakeholders, while guiding cross-functional teams to deliver customer value and measurable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical, business, finance, marketing, or related field preferred.
• CEM Certification - REQUIRED
• Project Management Certification – preferred
• Professional Engineering License (AL) - preferred

Responsibilities

• Set statewide business development strategy, priorities, and operating cadence for Energy Services energy conservation opportunities within MUSH and commercial/industrial markets.
• Lead, coach, and provide work direction to directs for customer discovery, opportunity qualification, proposal strategy, and opportunity advancement within the energy conservation market.
• Establish pipeline governance, opportunity review cadence, customer engagement expectations, proposal standards, and performance reporting for leadership visibility.
• Own the timeliness, accuracy, and consistency of business development updates and pipeline reporting across Energy Services and key organizational stakeholders.
• Prioritize opportunities based on customer value, feasibility, risk, available resources, and strategic alignment.
