Job summary

AEP Energy is seeking an Energy Consultant to build a portfolio of small business customers in Pittsburgh, PA through cold calls and lead follow-up.

You will collect data, pre-qualify opportunities, and present tailored energy solutions, using CRM tools to track progress and ensure follow-ups. This role emphasizes proactive outreach and regulatory compliance within a dynamic sales environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Energy industry experience a plus.
• Excellent communication and prospecting skills.

Responsibilities

• Cold Calling: Execute cold calls and follow up calling for leads provided.
• Enter customer data into AEP Energy's CRM accurately and promptly.
• Qualify opportunities and assess credit readiness before pricing.
• Present AEP Energy's value proposition to prospective customers by phone.
• Develop industry knowledge to tailor energy solutions for clients.
• Manage follow-up and renewals through CRM to maintain pipeline.
• Adhere to regulatory standards and company policies.
