Job summary

Par Pacific is seeking a Settlements Analyst in Houston, TX to support the purchase and settlement of crude and refined products. You will collaborate with Commercial and Accounting teams, gaining exposure to SAP, trading systems, and multi-state operations across TX, WY, MT, WA and HI.

Success requires analytical thinking, attention to detail, and experience in payables/billing. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity with growth potential in a growing energy company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or related field strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of payables, billing, or operational accounting experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem resolution skills required.
• Fluent in English, both oral and written.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, including complex spreadsheets.
• Oil & Gas/Energy industry experience preferred; SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify commodity and secondary cost invoices against system accruals.
• Coordinate with Logistics, Accounts Payable and Treasury on timely settlement of invoices.
• Troubleshoot pricing discrepancies through system analysis with Logistics and Commercial.
• Coordinate with Accounting on month-end accruals for unpaid items.
• Track invoices to ensure timely payments; resolve discrepancies with third parties.
• Maintain master data in Trade Capture system to interface with SAP.
