Job summary

Oxy in Houston seeks a Crude Settlement Accountant to manage monthly settlements, close processes, and support settlement operations. The role reports to the Marketing Settlements Supervisor and collaborates with volumes, front office and settlements teams.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, 4+ years in energy marketing with at least 3 years in crude oil, and strong Excel skills, with a proactive, team-oriented mindset and ability to handle multiple priorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 4+ years in Energy Marketing, minimum 3 years in Crude Oil.
• Experience working with trading systems; Horizon experience a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Monthly settlement of commodity purchases and sales with internal and external customers.
• Research and analyze aged balances to clear open variances for AR and AP.
• Document and support recommendations for write-offs.
• Prepare monthly journal vouchers for AR, AP, cash, broker and prepaid accounts.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations for AR, AP, Cash, broker, and prepaid accounts.
