Job summary

Universal Energy Solutions in Houston is seeking a motivated Consumer Sales Representative to meet with residential customers, review electricity and natural gas plans, and identify opportunities to reduce energy costs. You’ll learn our proven consultation process and work with mentors to build confidence and communication skills.

We offer two compensation paths—base pay plus commissions or commission-only—along with paid training and ongoing career development.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Customer-facing experience is a plus but not required.
• Comfortable meeting with business owners face-to-face.

Responsibilities

• Meet face-to-face with residential customers and decision-makers.
• Review current electricity and natural gas plans.
• Help customers identify opportunities to reduce energy costs.
• Build relationships with prospective customers and guide them through the consultation process.
• Travel within an assigned territory (around a 30‑mile radius).
• Learn and apply the company’s customer consultation process.
