Job summary

The State of Colorado Energy Office is seeking a Program Associate to support the Home Energy Rebates (HER) program, manage vendor and grant activities, and assist with contract administration. You will help deliver rebates focused on large multifamily and manufactured housing, and collaborate with internal teams across the agency.

Ideal candidates bring a four-year degree or equivalent experience, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to equity and energy efficiency in Colorado.

Qualifications

• Four years of professional experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field (public administration, environmental science, engineering, sustainability).
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Highly motivated and detail oriented.
• Team player with outstanding interpersonal, listening, and diplomacy skills.
• Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end implementation of the Home Energy Rebates (HER) program, ensuring alignment with project plans and goals.
• Assist in vendor management, grant management, and contract management.
• Track program expenditures and maintain financial records in accordance with funding requirements.
• Prepare and report program metrics, milestones, and evaluations.
• Coordinate with internal teams for cross-department collaboration.
• Engage stakeholders including consumers, contractors, and housing partners to support program objectives.
