Job summary

Xcel Energy is offering a Project Intern role for wind, solar, battery storage and turbine projects in a hybrid setting. You will split time between office work and active construction sites while gaining hands-on exposure to project coordination and reporting.

Ideal candidates are ABET‑accredited students in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil fields, pursuing degrees, with strong organizational and communication skills, and a passion for renewable energy.

Qualifications

• Current student at Fall 2027 in ABET-accredited program.
• Enrolled in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil-structural Eng, Construction/Project Mgmt or related field.
• Travel within TX/NM region and hybrid in-person work.

Responsibilities

• Support project tracking, reporting, and documentation.
• Participate in field visits to observe project execution and safety practices.
• Collaborate with project managers, coordinators, engineers, and contractors.
• Learn project development and construction processes for wind, solar, storage, and turbines.
• Complete tasks under supervision following procedures and safety rules.
