Job summary

Xcel Energy in Denver, CO is offering an internship to learn project management within Energy Supply. Working under supervision, you will support capital project management, coordinate resources, and help develop training materials for Base Capital.

You’ll gain hands-on exposure to coal, hydro, wind, and other generation facilities while developing practical project management skills. Ideal candidates are enrolled in ABET-accredited programs in mechanical, civil, environmental, or electrical

Qualifications

• Project management experience preferred.
• Ability to coordinate resources and communicate effectively.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support management of existing capital projects.
• Develop relationships with plant personnel.
• Promote safety first for onsite activities related to capital projects.
• Red-line drawings for systems worked on through capital projects.
• Develop notifications, work orders, and purchase requisitions in SAP.
• Develop schedules for assigned projects.
• Lead project update meetings with mentorship and supervision.
