Job summary

RES is seeking a Project Safety Manager I to implement the RES System (SMS) on wind, solar, substation, transmission, or energy storage projects in the US or Canada. The role emphasizes coaching, training, audits, and site safety planning. A Bachelor's in EH&S and relevant construction safety experience are preferred, with travel 76-100% expected.

Anticipated base salary range: $96,000 - $120,000. Location: Pelican, Louisiana.

Qualifications

• Promotes company safety culture through coaching, development, influence, and training.
• Acts as subject matter expert and liaison for health and safety for the project team and client.
• Serves as a key liaison to regulatory agencies and third parties during audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Oversees safety-related meetings and drives safety incentive programs.
• Develops site-specific documentation and implements safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Delivers training on Safety Initiatives, SMS requirements, and regulatory requirements.
• Leads safety discussions at POD, All Hands, Tailgate, and client meetings.
• Performs Incident Investigations, develops incident reports, and closes corrective actions.
• Maintains safety metrics, programs, and incident data for reporting.
• Coordinates emergency response efforts and audits by third parties and regulators.
