Job summary

Copper is seeking an Energy Products Program Manager to lead day-to-day execution of pilots and energy programs in Berkeley, CA. You will coordinate with engineering, product, and field teams to track milestones, resolve blockers, and ensure learnings feed the roadmap.

You’ll manage documentation, run program meetings, and communicate clearly with external partners. The role offers in-office work four days per week with one flexible day and opportunities to expand responsibilities over time.

Qualifications

• Track record in program management, operations, or execution-focused roles.
• Background in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Bias toward action and ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and ops teams.
• Curious and analytical, able to review data and policy implications.
• Willingness to travel locally to support installations.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day execution of Copper's pilots and programs, tracking status and blockers.
• Serve as primary operational point of contact for partners.
• Prepare for and run recurring program meetings with clear notes and actions.
• Maintain program documentation, trackers, and reporting for transparency.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product across design, prototyping, testing, and deployments.
• Translate technical requirements between engineering and external stakeholders.
• Support in-person installations as needed and develop field fluency.
• Scope and stand up new pilots and energy programs as Copper grows.
• Monitor policy, regulatory, and market developments relevant to programs.
