Job summary

Copper is seeking a Program Manager to run the operational core of our business development and licensing efforts in Berkeley. You’ll coordinate the partnership pipeline, track deals, research prospects, support negotiations, and report to leadership.

This role emphasizes execution with a strong technical background in hardware and electronics, and you’ll help manage our patent portfolio, track prosecutions, and ensure licensing activities align with product development and commercialization.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in licensing, partnerships, or IP/patent operations, ideally in hardware/electronics.
• Fluency with a range of licensing structures and experience preparing pitch materials.
• Comfort translating between engineers and legal/business counterparts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate partnership and licensing deal pipeline; track status, next steps, deadlines.
• Research prospects and prepare briefing materials and target lists for leadership.
• Support negotiations by preparing materials and coordinating redlines with outside counsel.
