Job summary

Civic Works is seeking an Intake Specialist in Baltimore, MD for a hybrid role. You will drive adoption of solar and energy efficiency upgrades via phone, SMS, and email, guiding homeowners through applications and intake, while delivering fair, high-quality customer service.

The role requires strong verbal and written communication, data entry into Salesforce, and the ability to meet performance targets in a fast-paced environment. Training and community outreach are included.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, sales, and/or lead generation experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite and other computer programs.
• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM databases is a plus.
• Knowledge of building science and solar installation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Convert potential clients into satisfied customers by promoting energy services.
• Answer calls and assist clients during open hours in a call center.
• Engage prospective clients via phone, text, and email and follow up within three days.
• Guide applicants through the application and intake process and ensure timely documents.
• Enter data into Salesforce and track communications with clients.
• Meet or exceed performance targets like call volume and conversion rates.
• Provide wrap-around services and coordinate with staff to meet client needs.
