Job summary

Maryland Energy Advisors is seeking a Project Coordinator to drive the delivery of energy efficiency programs in Newark, NJ. You will collaborate with the program manager, team, subcontractors, and clients to keep tasks on track and ensure accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Energy, Communications, Environmental Studies, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered (one year of experience may substitute for one year of education).
• Based in New Jersey; eligible to work in Newark, NJ.
• At least 1 year of professional work experience, preferably in energy efficiency or utility programs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel 10% and occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Support the operations of a residential utility energy efficiency program and ensure smooth delivery with a positive customer experience.
• Track, monitor, and report project status and KPIs for internal and client reporting.
• Assist in maintaining program forecasts, dashboards, and performance data for visibility and adjustments.
• Provide day-to-day support to field staff and subcontractors, coordinating assignments and addressing questions.
• Maintain proactive communication with subcontractors, customers, and internal teams; troubleshoot issues and escalate as needed.
• Support onboarding and ongoing engagement of subcontractors and strengthen industry relationships.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and quality control.
• Maintain organized program documentation and data integrity to meet regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties to support program operations and organizational goals.
