Job summary

Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County is seeking an Energy Advisor to promote energy literacy and deliver outreach across Franklin and Hamilton Counties. The role includes webinars, workshops, conferences, and partnerships with NYSERDA’s Regional Clean Energy Hub.

Travel is required; one office day per week at ANCA in Saranac Lake; hourly pay is $26.25 with benefits. The position emphasizes community engagement, volunteer coordination, and social media content creation,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
• Experience relevant to the role.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License and travel willingness.
• Flexible hours including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Promote and deliver energy literacy through webinars and workshops.
• Deliver at least two energy workshops per month in Franklin and Hamilton counties.
• Increase consumer awareness of clean energy technologies.
• Coordinate with Regional Clean Energy Hub and partners.
• Prepare monthly reports and enter data into Salesforce.
• Travel regularly to conduct outreach.
• Assist with social media content and marketing.
• Support program evaluation and reporting.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Associate’s Degree + 2 years transferrable experience

Valid NYS Driver’s License
