Job summary

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County seeks a Lead Community Energy Advisor to oversee the Energy Advisor Team and to recruit/train new CEAs. The role focuses on delivering energy efficiency education to residents, multifamily owners, and small businesses, with emphasis on low-to-moderate income communities.

Travel and weekend hours may be required. The Lead CEA will build partnerships with local stakeholders and supervise volunteers, ensuring robust program delivery and evaluation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience teaching non-formal educational programs, preferably in energy efficiency/renewable energy.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member; capable of training staff and coordinating volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver energy education programs in diverse community settings.
• Lead and supervise the Energy Advisor Team, recruiting and training new CEAs.
