Job summary

Habitat Energy in Austin, TX, seeks a senior Origination Manager to drive business development across our optimization services. You will own the full client lifecycle, from sourcing leads and pitches to proposals, demos and closing deals, with a focus on ERCOT and expansion into PJM, MISO, CAISO and NYISO.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of energy market experience in BD/origination/trading/consulting/asset management or modeling.
• In-depth ERCOT knowledge; familiarity with other US ISOs (PJM, MISO, CAISO, NYISO) is a plus.
• Strong numerical, analytical and quantitative skills are essential.
• Excellent people skills and ability to build client relationships.
• Degree in business, economics, finance, computer science, engineering or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Own origination activity across the full client lifecycle: sourcing leads, pitches, demos, RFPs, proposals and deal closing.
• Build Habitat Energy brand through networking, materials, and outbound/inbound opportunities.
• Understand client needs and tailor solutions that add value.
• Contribute to Habitat's commercial strategy and pitch refinement for storage and renewables.
• Support development of new products and expansions into US markets.
