Job description

Lead the Safe Energization of a Hyperscale Data Center

What happens when a multi-million-dollar data center is ready to come alive?

Every switch, breaker, isolation point, and energization sequence must be planned, verified, and executed without compromise. That is where you come in.

We are seeking an experienced Energy Marshal to take ownership of hazardous energy control and electrical safety on one of the nation’s largest hyperscale data center construction projects.

This is a high-visibility, hands‑on leadership role for someone who is comfortable making critical decisions in the field, coordinating multiple contractors, and maintaining control when complex electrical systems are being energized.

You will work directly with commissioning teams, electrical contractors, project leadership, and client representatives to safely bring mission‑critical systems online—from construction and startup through commissioning and final turnover.

Why This Role Is Challenging

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading critical energization events across a large‑scale hyperscale data center
  • Owning LOTO, hazardous energy control, and electrical safety processes
  • Reviewing switching procedures, isolation plans, MOPs, and energized work activities
  • Coordinating multiple contractors during high‑risk electrical operations
  • Supporting commissioning, startup, and Integrated Systems Testing
  • Reviewing medium‑voltage distribution systems and one‑line diagrams
  • Identifying hazards before they become incidents
  • Exercising stop‑work authority when conditions are not safe
  • Helping drive the project forward while protecting people, equipment, and schedule

This is not a desk‑based safety position. You will be at the center of the action, helping bring complex mission‑critical infrastructure online safely and efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in one or more of the following environments:

  • Mission‑critical facilities
  • Semiconductor facilities
  • LNG
  • Heavy industrial or electrical construction

Additional experience with:

  • LOTO and hazardous energy control programs
  • Electrical commissioning, startup, energization, or IST
  • NFPA 70E and electrical safety compliance
  • Medium‑voltage electrical distribution
  • Switching procedures and isolation plans
  • Field leadership and stop‑work authority
Compensation
  • $75 per hour (negotiable)
  • Non‑exempt position
  • 1.5x overtime
  • Anticipated 10-15 hours of overtime per week
  • Medical
  • Vision

If you are the person teams trust when it is time to safely bring power online, this is an opportunity to lead one of the most critical phases of a major data center project.
