Job summary

Arbo is seeking a Business Development Analyst to grow existing customer segments and expand into new markets. You will research accounts, prospect across channels, and help qualify opportunities while collaborating with marketing, research and product teams in a hybrid setup.

The role emphasizes data-driven outreach, market understanding, and written market briefs to guide go-to-market strategies. Based in Houston with flexibility for remote work and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in sales development, business development, or an analyst role in energy, finance, or consulting.
• Strong writing and data skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Comfort with outreach, rejection, and long sales cycles.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Interest in energy and commodity markets.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot a plus).
• Experience using AI tools for market research and outreach.

Responsibilities

• Research and prioritize target accounts among traders, marketers, midstream companies, utilities, and financial institutions.
• Prospect via phone, email, LinkedIn, and events; qualify leads.
• Book discovery meetings and demos; support deals.
• Keep account, contact, and pipeline data clean in CRM.
• Size and map new commodity verticals and markets for Arbo products.
• Interview prospects to learn workflows and share findings with product/marketing.
• Write brief market briefs to shape go-to-market plans.
