Job summary

Clearway Energy is seeking an Analyst, Market Optimization & Trading, to support trading, hedging, and optimization for ERCOT and PJM assets. You will work with multiple teams to manage market exposure and build nodal market analytics expertise.

The role emphasizes developing models, tools, and processes for position management, risk controls, and reporting, with opportunities to engage in CRR/FTR auctions and market insights. Strong quantitative skills and a willingness to travel are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or quantitative field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in energy markets or finance.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with curiosity about power markets.
• Experience with modeling and data analysis is a plus.
• Proficiency in Python/SQL and MS Office tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of trading, hedging, and optimization strategies for ERCOT and PJM assets.
• Assist in day-ahead, real-time, and term trading and hedging activities.
• Identify congestion market risk and support CRR/FTR auctions and virtual bidding.
• Develop tools for position management, reporting, and risk management.
• Prepare market recaps and presentations for internal stakeholders.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
