Priority Power in Houston, TX is seeking a Market Analyst to support power and natural gas forward curves, data analytics, and client-facing market updates, with a focus on ERCOT and PJM.

The role manages data with Databricks and PostgreSQL, builds Tableau visuals, writes SQL queries, and collaborates with Commercial Markets to align market commentary with our broader messaging. Experience with ERCOT/PJM a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Excel and a willingness to develop SQL, Python, and Tableau skills on the job.
• Strong written and verbal communication for presenting analyses to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Mark and maintain forward price curves for ERCOT and PJM power products.
• Pull, clean, and manipulate data from Databricks, PostgreSQL, and AWS Athena/S3; build Tableau visualizations.
• Write SQL queries and manage data pulls across multiple database environments for analysis.
• Maintain and analyze large Excel workbooks; perform ad hoc analyses.
• Apply analytical methods to identify pricing trends across power markets.
• Build and deliver customer-facing market update decks; present market moves to customers and sales teams.
• Write and publish quarterly market recaps and outlooks for ERCOT and PJM.
• Identify opportunities to automate analytics and reporting processes and build the tools to implement them.
• Partner with Commercial Markets leadership to align market commentary with broader messaging.
