Job summary

Clearway Energy is seeking an Analyst, Market Optimization & Trading, to support trading, hedging, and optimization for ERCOT and PJM assets. You will collaborate with Market Optimization & Trading, Market Fundamentals, Business Development, and Asset Management to manage market exposure and build nodal analytics expertise.

Requirements include a quantitative degree and 0–2 years of experience. You will work on production cost models, price forecasting tools, and enterprise risk management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field and 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with curiosity about power markets.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, or similar tools is a plus.
• Interest in ERCOT or PJM market structure is a plus but not required.
• Ability to extract and analyze large energy market datasets.

Responsibilities

• Support day-ahead, real-time, and term trading and hedging strategies for ERCOT and PJM assets.
• Develop tools for position management, reporting, and trade capture.
• Assist in market risk analysis, congestion risk, and CRR/FTR strategies.
• Prepare market recaps and presentations for internal stakeholders.
• Travel up to 25% and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
