Job summary

Priority Power Management LLC is seeking a Market Analyst to support power and natural gas forward curves, data analytics, and customer-facing market communication with a focus on ERCOT and PJM. The role spans from junior to experienced levels based on background, with proficiency in Databricks, PostgreSQL, and Tableau valued.

You will build dashboards, publish market recaps, and help prepare client updates while developing skills in SQL, Python, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related).
• Willing to develop SQL, Python, and Tableau on the job.
• Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to present analyses clearly to non-technical audiences.
• High attention to detail in customer-facing materials.
• Genuine interest in power and natural gas markets and building deep market expertise.

Responsibilities

• Mark and maintain forward price curves for ERCOT and PJM power products.
• Pull, clean, and manipulate data from Databricks, PostgreSQL, and AWS Athena/S3; build visualizations in Tableau.
• Write SQL queries and manage data pulls across multiple databases for analyses.
• Maintain and analyze large Excel workbooks and perform ad hoc Excel analyses.
• Apply analytical methods to identify pricing trends across power markets.
• Help build and deliver customer-facing market update decks; present moves to customers and sales teams.
• Publish quarterly market recaps and outlooks for ERCOT and PJM fundamentals.
• Identify opportunities to automate analytics and reporting processes and implement them.
• Partner with Commercial Markets leadership to align market commentary with broader messaging.
