Job summary

Electric Power Engineers, LLC is seeking a Technical Business Development Strategist in energy market analysis and regulatory areas. You will bridge market intelligence with business development, identify client needs, and shape opportunities with EMA and Regulatory teams.

You will engage utilities, regulators, and industry stakeholders, translating market signals into analytic approaches and compelling proposals while supporting relationship-building and strategic growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Energy, Public Policy, Business, or related field.
7+ years of experience in electricity markets, utility strategy, regulatory affairs, energy economics, or related fields.
Experience with utilities, ISO/RTOs, regulators, investors, or market participants.
Strong understanding of North American electricity markets and interactions among market structures and investments.
Experience developing technical or advisory scopes, proposals, analyses, or regulatory materials.

Responsibilities

Monitor electricity market, regulatory and investment developments across FERC, state/provincial bodies, ISO/RTOs, and utilities.
Identify business opportunities from market reforms and resource planning; translate signals into strategies and opportunities.
Lead technical dialogue with utilities, regulators, developers, and investors, communicating EMA capabilities.
Develop scopes of work, proposals, and client-facing materials; support pursuit strategy and bids.
