Electric Power Engineers, LLC (EPE) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Engineer to lead Energy Market Analysis special projects. This pivotal role works with senior leadership to drive growth, shape our service offerings, and deliver expert guidance across client engagements.
You will mentor teams, oversee market studies, and ensure high-quality deliverables while expanding EPE’s reach in power markets.
Qualifications
- 10–15 years in electric energy industry with power flow modeling.
- Experience with transmission planning, interconnection studies, and SCED analysis.
- Strong knowledge of market structures (PJM, SPP, MISO, NYISO, ISO-NE, CAISO).
- Experience in resource planning, market design and renewable energy finance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analyses of congestion and basis risks for projects, focusing on long-term regional transmission planning.
- Lead and conduct transmission load flow and LMP analyses.
- Strategize on site selection and evaluate transmission opportunities for competitive availability.
- Act as SME on transmission and market design and track policy changes.
- Collaborate across teams to strategize on market trends and investments.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships with clients and regulators.
