Job summary

Equinor seeks an Automation, Network & Telecommunications Engineer to operate and monitor automated control systems used in energy production. The role includes SCADA operations, troubleshooting, and ensuring safety and compliance across onshore and offshore assets in Brooklyn, NY.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage maintenance tasks, and coordinate with IT/OT support services to optimize processes under NERC CIP standards. Salary range reflects seniority and location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related cyber or computer science/engineering field.
• 7+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Industrial Cybersecurity, or related areas.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA, Inter-Control Center Communications Protocol, and RTU protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintain automation and control systems to meet operational requirements.
• Monitor and troubleshoot automation assets and ensure safety/compliance.
• Coordinate with IT/OT teams and external vendors across onshore/offshore activities.
• Support maintenance planning and equipment upgrades while ensuring documentation and training.
