Job summary

Equinor is seeking an Automation Engineer to operate and monitor automated control systems used in energy production, with focus on wind farm IT/OT assets. You will diagnose issues, optimize processes, and ensure safety while collaborating with onshore and offshore teams.

The role includes maintaining SCADA/ICS interfaces, supporting cross-functional teams, managing maintenance plans and coordinating vendor activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in cyber/computer science or engineering.
7+ years in cybersecurity, industrial cybersecurity, or related fields.
Knowledge of SCADA operations, ICCP, and RTU protocols.
Working knowledge of NERC CIP standards and their applicability.

Responsibilities

Maintain automation systems ensuring compliance with governing documentation and procedures.
Perform maintenance tasks within the automation field to support reliable operations.
Coordinate the onshore transfer of responsibilities and provide necessary information and documentation.
Manage multiple specialist vendors and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Diagnose issues and perform adjustments or repairs as needed for safe operations.
Liaise with internal and external IT/OT support services and ensure effective handoffs to onshore operations.
