Job summary

Midcoast Maine Community Action is seeking an Energy Programs Specialist to help individuals and families access energy and housing assistance programs in Bath, ME. This part-time role emphasizes compassionate client service, intake interviews, eligibility screenings, and referrals.

You will work with the Energy & Housing team to welcome clients by phone or in person, review applications, maintain records, and coordinate services for timely support, in a collaborative office setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a busy office environment.
• Experience working with low-income individuals and families preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist clients by phone, in person, and at events.
• Conduct intake interviews and eligibility screenings for energy and housing programs.
• Review applications for completeness and help obtain required documentation.
• Communicate with clients and partners to ensure timely service.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate services.
• Maintain client records with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Provide referrals to community resources when needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and team meetings.
