Job summary

York County Community Action Corp. (YCCAC) is seeking an Energy Services Specialist I/II to support our Economic Opportunity & Housing Stability team during the heating season.

You will help applicants with HEAP, ECIP, and AMP, guiding them through intake and documentation. The role focuses on compassionate customer service, accurate data entry, and clear communication about program requirements and timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Commitment to confidentiality and respectful treatment of applicants.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist clients in person, by phone, voicemail, and electronically.
• Conduct client intake interviews and assist with applications and documentation.
• Explain program requirements, timelines, and next steps.
• Review applications for completeness and follow up on missing information.
• Enter and update client information accurately in agency and state databases.
