Job summary

Trane Technologies invites students to join our Energy Engineer Internship across North America, offering a 12-week program to develop technical, business, leadership, and communication skills.

You will work with Account Managers and Energy Engineers on energy opportunities, perform analyses, field energy audits, and develop benchmarks while exploring energy conservation measures and project management; potential to join our Graduate Training Program after graduation.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering.
• Be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S.
• Posting covers multiple opportunities; some remote, some hybrid or onsite across North America.
• Possess a valid driver’s license for at least 12 months and have proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Managers and Energy Engineers to diagnose energy opportunities in facilities.
• Provide technical analysis and review for energy projects; assess project risk.
• Shadow building walk-throughs and identify energy conservation measures in commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.
• Collaborate on developing reporting capabilities and investigate new technologies from a software usability perspective.
• Prescribe methods for measurement and verification of system performance during acquisition.
• Analyze data outputs for trends and deviations needing investigation.
• Assist with Preliminary Audits, Benchmarking, Site Surveys, and Interviews.
• Collect, analyze, and develop benchmark summary reports detailing building and system performance.
