Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an Energy Engineer Intern to learn and contribute within our North America teams. You will partner with Account Managers and Energy Engineers to identify energy opportunities, perform basic analyses, and help develop energy conservation measures for commercial facilities.

Actively enrolled in an Engineering bachelor’s or master’s degree (Energy, Mechanical, or Electrical) and able to work in the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering (preferred disciplines: Energy, Mechanical or Electrical).
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Managers and Energy Engineers to diagnose energy opportunities and develop small energy projects.
• Provide technical analyses and risk assessment for energy projects.
• Shadow building walk-throughs to identify energy conservation measures in various facilities.
• Contribute to development of reporting capabilities from a software and usability perspective.
• Assist with qualification activities including Preliminary Audits, Benchmarking, Site Surveys, and Interviews.
• Collect, analyze, and develop benchmark reports illustrating building and system performance.
