Job summary

Trane Technologies invites ambitious engineering students to join a 12-week Summer internship program in Energy Engineering. You will tackle energy analysis projects, conduct field energy audits, interview clients, prepare estimates, and develop energy conservation measures while gaining leadership and communication experience.

The program offers exposure across North America, with opportunities for the Graduate Training Program after graduation. Some roles may be remote or hybrid.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering throughout the internship.
• Must have completed at least their sophomore year before start of internship.
• US citizen or have right to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Posting covers multiple opportunities; some roles may be remote, hybrid or onsite.
• Must have valid driver’s license, be able to provide insurance, and have no major traffic violations in the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Managers and Energy Engineers to identify energy opportunities in facilities.
• Provide technical analysis and project risk assessment for energy projects.
• Perform building walkthroughs to identify energy conservation measures in various facilities.
• Collaborate on development of reporting capabilities from software and usability perspectives.
• Prescribe methods for measurement and verification of system performance during acquisition phase.
• Analyze data outputs for trends and deviations requiring investigation.
• Assist with Preliminary Audits, Benchmarking, Site Surveys and Interviews.
• Collect and develop benchmark reports illustrating building/system performance features.
