Job summary

Trane Technologies is offering a 12-week Summer internship in Energy Engineering designed to develop technical, business, leadership, and communication skills. You will work with Energy Engineers to diagnose energy opportunities, conduct field energy audits, and assist in project estimates and energy conservation measures.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an Engineering program (Energy, Mechanical or Electrical) and have completed at least their sophomore year.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering throughout the entire duration of the summer internship.
• Candidates must have completed at least their sophomore year by start of internship.
• U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Posting may include remote, hybrid or onsite assignments across North America.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Managers and Energy Engineers to identify energy opportunities in client facilities.
• Provide technical analysis/review for energy projects and assess project risk.
• Shadow building walk-throughs and identify energy conservation measures.
• Collaborate on developing reporting capabilities from software and usability perspectives.
