Job summary

Trane Technologies offers a 12-week Energy Engineer Internship designed to develop technical, business, leadership, and communication skills. You will work with Account Managers and Energy Engineers to identify energy opportunities and contribute to energy projects across North America.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering.
• Disciplines preferred: Energy, Mechanical or Electrical.
• Student status throughout the internship duration.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Managers and Energy Engineers to diagnose energy opportunities and propose small energy projects.
• Provide technical analysis and risk assessment for energy projects.
• Shadow and perform building walk-throughs to identify energy conservation measures in various facilities.
• Collaborate on enhancing reporting capabilities and explore new technologies from a software/usability perspective.
• Prescribe best methods for measurement and verification of system performance during acquisition.
• Analyze data outputs for trends or deviations warranting investigation.
• Assist with qualification steps including Preliminary Audits, Benchmarking, Site Surveys, and Interviews.
• Collect, analyze, and develop benchmark reports detailing building/system performance.
