Job summary

LaBella Associates is seeking an Energy Engineer in our Buildings Engineering Division to join our White Plains and Brooklyn offices. The role targets 2-5+ years of energy experience, supporting energy/construction projects from feasibility through commissioning, with a focus on energy audits, data analysis, and calculations to identify energy conservation measures.

You will collaborate with engineers and project managers on building and renovation projects, applying knowledge of MEP systems,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• NY State PE License obtained or in pursuit.
• Energy and/or Commissioning certifications (CEM, CBCP, BCxP, BEAP) a plus.
• Functional knowledge of M/E/P/FP and building automation systems.
• Proficient with building modeling software; AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and teamwork skills.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform energy audits and feasibility studies to identify energy measures.
• Analyze utility data and evaluate energy usage.
• Conduct basic energy savings calculations from field data.
• Develop design concepts and assist with mechanical design as needed.
• Interpret plans to satisfy project design requirements.
• Plan, perform and document commissioning of mechanical/electrical systems.
• Conduct on-site investigations of multi-discipline projects.
• Lead resolution of construction problems and methods.
