Job summary

Core Group Resources is seeking a Clean Energy Application Engineer to design, coordinate, and implement MEP systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. This role emphasizes high-efficiency, non-carbon heating and cooling technologies, including water-source heat pumps, and involves pre-sale support, design development, construction, commissioning, and closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering.
• 3–5 years in MEP design or related engineering environment.
• Experience with HVAC, heat pump, electrical, and/or plumbing systems.
• Experience performing equipment sizing, load calculations, and related analyses.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and building systems integration.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes and standards.
• Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering layouts, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation for MEP and heat pump systems.
• Perform equipment selection and sizing based on project requirements.
• Conduct load calculations, energy analysis, and related engineering calculations.
• Develop schematic designs and support design development and construction documentation.
• Evaluate equipment and system configurations to identify effective technical solutions.
• Collaborate with the sales team during pre-sale and project development phases.
• Provide engineering input on equipment selection, system configuration, and performance.
• Support project managers with design packages and technical deliverables.
